Reappointment of the Geodetic Comission for the term of office 2020-2023


The Austrian Geodetic Comission (ÖGK) is an advisory body of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Economic Affairs in all matters related to geodesy. The ÖGK aims at sustainabley supporting the interests of Austria’s society and economy by fostering research in all fields of geodesy. The current statutes have been approved by Austria’s Ministry of Digital an Economic Affairs in 2014. According to these statutes all regular and corresponding members, as well as the president, the vice president and the secretary, have to be proposed by the comission and appointed by the responsible Federal Minister prior to the end of the current term of office.

For the term of office from 2020 to 2023 the ÖGK council was apointed by the Federal Minister Strobl as follows:

  • President: Univ. Prof. Werner Lienhart, TU Graz
  • Vice President: Univ. Prof. Dr. Johannes Böhm, TU Wien
  • Secretary: DI Franz Blauensteiner, BA für Eich- und Vermessungswesen
