Austrian National Committee (ÖNK) of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysica (IUGG)
The official contact and counterpart of the IUGG in Austria is the Austrian Geodetic Commission (ÖGK) in term of an adhering body. Hence, the ÖGK is responsible for the nomination and a accreditation of the national delegates and the representatives in the council meetings at the IUGG general assembly, as wel as the nomination of a permanent member of the council. The work of the ÖGK is supported by the Austrian National Committee (ÖNK). For the purpose of coordination and information exchange on an administrative and technical level the ÖNK holds a two-day meeting once a year.
